On 24th September 2015 the 6th Agronomic Symposium at the Munich Hans Eisenmann-Zentrum makes the innovative production of biomass the subject of discussion. Lectures on plant cultivation, agricultural processes, biotechnological innovations in the processing of biomass, alternative sources of raw materials and innovative products give insight into the challenges and perspectives of biomass production today. Furthermore poster presentations inform on recent research projects in the field of biomass production. Prof. Dr. Daniela Thrän – professorship for bio-energy systems University of Leipzig, Helmholtz-Zentrum für Umweltforschung (Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research), Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum (German Research Centre for Biomass) – is represented with a lecture on “Biomass – Principles and challenges for the raw material basis of a sustainable bio-economy”.
